Older and wiser? This isn't a joke. As we age, we actually need
to improve how we move to increase our movement's fluidity, strength, and safety. Through this integrated
course, you will rekindle the natural movement that stimulates bone health by moving all your body parts in
harmonious coordination.
We all know that our bones are strengthened by weight-bearing
activity. But optimal body alignment during this movement is essential for preventing injuries, developing
endurance, and bringing enjoyment. When movement feels good, dynamic activity becomes an integrated and vital part
of life.
In this introduction to the Bones For Life
program, you will learn gradually and safely how to:
- Stimulate your bone strength and experience the
“biological optimism” of a reliable skeleton.
- Coordinate a springy and dynamic walk.
- Align your posture into safe weight-bearing
uprightness.
- Develop your skill of restoring equilibrium.
- Enhance the pleasure of moving.
This work will help not only those facing osteoporosis reduction, but also anyone who regularly participates
in weight-bearing activities - including walking, running, dancing, and jumping. All ages, abilities and movement
challenges are welcome.
Class size is limited, so please pre-register if possible.
The Bones For Life program for stimulating bone strength through natural movement and weight
bearing posture was developed by Ruthy Alon, based on Dr. Fedenkrais's approach to somatic learning. Janelle

practitioner experienced in working with injuries, conditions, and movement-related concerns. For an article about
